FlowTrigger doesn't require an account. Your data lives on your device.
1. What stays on your device
Everything you create in FlowTrigger is stored locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded to our servers unless explicitly stated in the sections below. This includes:
- Trigger configurations and settings
- Automation workflows
- Execution history
- Chat logs
- Data attached to workflows — text, voice recordings, photos, location data, notification content
- Webhook URLs you configure
Full request transparency
Every HTTP request the app makes is logged and visible inside the app. You can inspect the exact URL, headers, and body of every request that leaves your device. Nothing is sent in the background without a corresponding entry in the request history.
2. What leaves your device
Four categories of data leave your device:
HTTP requests to URLs you configure
When you trigger a workflow, the app sends an HTTP request to the webhook URL you defined. You control the destination and the payload. The app never sends requests to URLs you haven't configured.
Push notification token
If you use the chat feature, a device push token is registered so the app can receive push notifications. This token identifies the device, not you as a person. It is used solely for delivering chat push notifications.
Analytics and crash data
We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (both operated by Google) to understand usage patterns and fix bugs. This includes:
- Analytics: device info, app usage events, session data, approximate location (country/city level from IP)
- Crash reporting: crash logs, stack traces, device state at time of crash
You can opt out of analytics by disabling "Usage & diagnostics" in your Android settings or resetting your advertising ID. See Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase Privacy and Security for details on how Google handles this data.
In-app feedback
If you choose to submit feedback through the app, the following data is sent to our systems:
- Device identifier: your device ID (the same identifier used for push notifications)
- Feedback content: the text you write
- Use case: how you described your use of the app
- App version: which version of the app you are using
- Premium status: whether you have the free or premium version
Feedback is only sent when you explicitly submit it. We use this data solely to improve the app. It is stored on our systems and is not shared with third parties.
3. What goes through our server
Two categories of data pass through infrastructure we operate:
- Push notifications: When your automation workflow sends a push notification to the mobile app, that notification is routed through our server to reach your device.
- Feedback submissions: When you submit feedback, it is received and stored on our systems for product improvement purposes.
4. Android backup
Android's built-in backup feature (Settings > Backup) may include FlowTrigger's app data in your Google account. This is an OS-level feature that you control on your device. We don't require separate consent or opt-in for it because it is managed entirely by the operating system.
5. Permissions
The app requests permissions only for features that need them. You can revoke any permission at any time in your device settings.
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Location (fine, coarse, background) | Location-based automation triggers |
| Microphone | Voice recordings for triggers |
| Camera | Photo capture for triggers |
| Internet | Send HTTP requests to your webhook URLs |
| Notification access | Read notifications from selected apps to trigger workflows (premium) |
| Boot completed / exact alarm | Maintain scheduled triggers after device restart |
| Billing | Process premium purchases (handled by Google Play) |
6. Your controls
- Delete all data: clear app data in device settings or uninstall the app
- Opt out of analytics: disable "Usage & diagnostics" in Android settings
- Revoke permissions: go to device Settings > Apps > FlowTrigger > Permissions
- Export data: use the in-app export feature (premium)
- Manage Android backup: Settings > Backup on your device
7. Additional notes
- No account required. The app works without registration or login.
- We don't sell your data. Not to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.
- Children. FlowTrigger is not directed at children under 13.
- Policy changes. If we update this policy, we'll update the date at the top and note changes in the app.
- Data requests. For any data-related requests (access, deletion, correction), contact us at contact@flowtrigger.app.
